Teach children to read

Game with offers

Children read sentences in very different terms. These terms depend on the age of the baby, and how long he has been reading, and from the intensity, regularity of practice. How do you determine the moment of the child’s readiness for reading suggestions? The most correct would be to start learning to read sentences after successful completion of the reading of the words of 3-8 letters. It is important that the child understood the meaning of the words.

Try to gradually introduce offers. Start with simple sentences, consisting of 2-3 words. If your child is already 5 years old, gradually increase the number of words to 6-8. If your baby is only 4 years, limit while the sentences of 2-3 words, longer sentences, he will easily learn to read later.

The article presents 13 games. Proposals appearing in these games, the approximate and do not require precise execution. You can find or make suggestions, but try to make suggestions on topics close to your child about animals, about toys, about the heroes of fairy tales, etc.

Remember to read the proposals for the child is much more difficult than reading words. So perhaps in the beginning is to reduce the time of training.

Notes

What you’ll need: a small “surprise” (this can be a new toy, book or magazine, pencils or paint, candy bar, a theatre ticket or something else that you will want to give your child), paper for notes, envelopes, felt-tip pen.

The note, which subsequently hide under a book, write: “Look under the pillow”. The note, which will hide under the pillow, write: “Look in the fridge” etc. First time make 3-4 notes. The last note should be written, where is the surprise. Before the game, lay out the notes in envelopes, and the envelopes in the planned place for them. Tell your child that he prepared a surprise for him, only hid it, and offer to play – to find a surprise at the prompts. Or tell that the child received a letter from their favorite character from a fairy tale, but to read the letter he should, because on the envelope is written his name. How much fun will your child when he will find a surprise! And most importantly, the pleasure he receives not only from the surprise, but also from the process of its search.

After some time, the notes may become slightly longer, for example: “Check Inbox”, “Come to the door”, “Stand my back to her”, “Take 5 steps right”.
